From time to time, Troop 79 invites civic leaders to Troop meetings to be interviewed for this requirement. Rather than wait, you are welcome to make an appointment with a civic leader - a mayor, alderperson, school-board member, village trustee, a judge. Most are genuinely happy to talk to a scout.
If these options are unavailable, watch the videos below as an alternative. After you a) watch both of the videos, or b) interview a leader in person:
- Write down three things that surprised you about their talks
- Write down three questions you still have about what was discussed. You don't need to answer your own questions, but the questions should be thoughtful.
