Curious about Scouting? Families with boys and girls of Scouting age are invited to join Troop 79 for an Open House at Northwoods and see what Scouting is all about. Meet our Scouts and adult leaders, learn about camping, outdoor adventures, leadership, service projects, merit badges, and high-adventure opportunities, and discover how Scouting helps young people build confidence, friendships, practical skills, and independence.

Whether your child is already interested in joining or you’re simply exploring options, come stop by, ask questions, and get a feel for the troop in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Scouting is tailored to all youth 6th grade (or 11-years-old) through high school.

Please join our troop for our open house at Northwoods, 1572 E Capitol, Shorewood on September 27 from 4:00 to 5:00. Park in the back and come in the back door.

You’ll get a firsthand look at some of our troop activities, and you can visit with our Scouts and their adult leaders.
