Troop 79's first ever Eagle Court of Honor is Sunday, September 13 in Grant Park picnic area #7. All families are strongly encouraged to attend. The troop will provide a pulled pork and chicken dinner, and you are invited to contribute a potluck item for the picnic celebration. This is an extended-family-is-invited event! Scouts who have advanced since the last Court of Honor will be recognized, and a special segment will honor Maya, the Troop 79's first Eagle Scout. **If there's adverse weather, we will hold the event at Northwoods and a communication will be sent out the morning of Sept 13th. Fingers crossed for sunshine :)

The Court of Honor is for all Scouts and will include recognition of merit badges and ranks earned since the last Court of Honor. This Court of Honor will be special as we will feature an Eagle presentation, an Eagle Challenge, and Maya's response.

Keeping with tradition, the Troops' Court of Honor will be held outdoors at Grant Park picnic area #7 (shelter and bathroom), and features a potluck picnic / cookout.

Troop 79 is excited to celebrate our first Eagle Scout -- Maya Lynn Sankpal-Tatera -- whose grit and determination weathered many challenges on her journey to Eagle.
